YNM awarded key contract in European space programme.

We are delighted to announce that Yes No Maybe has successfully beaten off the competition by securing a contract to build the largest mirror to date for a space telescope - part of the European Space Agency's Herschel Space Observatory, due to launch in 2008.

The purpose of the telescope is fourfold: to study the formation of galaxies in the early universe and their subsequent evolution; to investigate the creation of stars and their interaction with the interstellar medium; to observe the chemical composition of the atmospheres and surfaces of comets, planets and satellites; and to examine the molecular chemistry of the universe. Additionally, we are proud to let our customers know that Yes No Maybe will a key partner in the development and provision of the fabrics for the spacesuits used in the European Space Agency’s unmanned missions for the next 3 years.
