The terrorist threat to the UK has been lowered from “severe” to “substantial”, the lowest since levels were made public.
Hearing the headline made me laugh out loud. I know it’s a serious subject, but the semantics sound like the script of Brasseye.
Here is the outline of the threat level system:
Low - attack is unlikely
Moderate - attack is possible, but not likely
Substantial - attack is a strong possibility
Severe - attack is highly likely
Critical - attack is expected imminently
What a load of nonsense.
We should colour code it like the Americans.
Remember to KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON
